Community Policing Philosophy

Community Policing is a philosophy focused on building partnerships between law enforcement and community to address the causes of crime, fear of crime and social disorder.

I submit to you that under my leadership all departments will implement this philosophy to build partnerships to collaborate together to address collective concerns of all neighborhoods, to shift from reactive responses to proactive approaches with an emphasis on trust and accountability.

No one knows your neighborhood like you. In every neighborhood, there are action-oriented people, cerebral thinks that can help frame direction and others that will catch the fever. There are also folks that just want to live their lives and won’t opt in. Euclid should be a judgment-free zone to meet people where they are.

Implementing this philosophy will results in:

  • Measurable increased collaboration in departments

  • Partnerships that improve Standard Operating Procedures

  • Increased resident involvement

  • Focus on prevention, intervention and permanent solutions

  • Proper staff teams

  • Proper relatable experience

  • Performance Measurement Matrix

  • Code compliance updates

  • Educational Campaign on low hanging fruit

  • Uniform Penalties that support the Code

  • Increased partnership for areas of assistance
